Reforestminds
That name is our calling. It is where our thoughts, our actions, and our struggles for the healing of the Earth germinate.
Here, the concept of Reflorestarmentes takes shape as an ancestral and political practice, weaving the connections between gender, climate, and territory from the perspective of indigenous women from the six Brazilian biomes. Reforesting the mind, body, territories and the world is our strategy in the face of the climate and civilization crises.

Our ancestral vision of climate justice
We are roots, seeds, leaves, and fruits. We are body and territory in motion. Our climate struggle is not dissociated from the struggle for the lives of our peoples and the protection of biomes.
The concept of Reforestationminds is born from the understanding that, just as the forest regenerates, our thoughts and practices need to be aligned with the balance of the Earth. Reforestation is not just about planting trees, it is about replanting knowledge, strengthening languages, protecting bodies-territories and confronting the structures that sicken the world: colonialism, racism, sexism and predatory extractivism.
Reforestation is collective healing. It is our way of addressing the climate emergency, reaffirming that there is no climate justice without the centrality of indigenous peoples and without the voices of indigenous women.
Our climate impact, in Brazil and in the world
We at Anmiga have walked from the ground of the villages to the global decision-making spaces, taking the voice of women biomes into the climate debates. Our bodies-territories have been present in:
National Council for Indigenous Policy (CNPI)
We coordinate the Thematic Group on Gender, focusing on public policies.
PNGATI Steering Committee (National Policy on Territorial and Environmental Management of Indigenous Lands)
Together with other organizations of the indigenous movement, we coordinate the construction of environmental and territorial management policies for indigenous lands.
G20 Social - International Forum for Economic Issues
Bringing our voices to the global debate on fair and sustainable development.
COP - UN Climate Change Conference
Spaces where we reaffirm that protecting biodiversity is protecting our lives, and that there is no climate solution without indigenous peoples.
Process of elaboration of the National Climate Plan
Presenting proposals for climate justice with the protagonism of indigenous women.
Our strategies include building alliances, strengthening bases, political advocacy, occupying spaces and continuing education.
Life Plan: Our territories in the face of the climate crisis
Our Life Plan is our concrete response to the climate emergency. It is not just an environmental proposal, it is a project for the future based on our ways of life, our knowledge and our sacred relationship with the territories.
We, as Anmiga, articulate with our women biomes, the strengthening and implementation of PNGATI (National Policy for Environmental and Territorial Management of Indigenous Lands) as a central tool for:
- The defense of the body-territories
- The guarantee of food, water and energy sovereignty
- Valuing traditional knowledge
- Directly confronting the impacts of climate change on territories
